Phuket and Khao Lak

Hua Hin

Hua Hin, one of Thailand's premier beach resort towns on the Gulf of Thailand, is less than 200 km south of Bangkok. Hua Hin is also the location of the King of Thailand's summer palace, Klai Kang Won, "Far from Worries."Hua Hin features a beautiful, powdery sand beach, restaurants, a lively night market, numerous beach activities, and some great inland activities. In addition, Hua Hin is well known for having some of the finest golf courses in Thailand, as well as some of the most renowned resorts and destination spas in the world.

 

Pattaya

Pattaya is a popular beach resort on the Gulf of Thailand just 150 km southeast of Bangkok. Just over one hour from Suvarnabhumi Airport, Pattaya is a lively beach town that draws visitors from around the world. With activities that include a wide array of water sports, golf, shopping, cabaret shows, an elephant village, it's impossible not to have an action-packed event in Pattaya.

 

Krabi

Located on southern Thailand's east coast, 800 kilometres south of Bangkok, Krabi province is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Classic virgin beaches fringed with towering limestone formations, is an understatement to describe this stunningly beautiful area of Thailand. The Krabi coastline is dotted with rarely visited tropical islands, palm fringed beaches, waterfalls, caves, and strange rock formations. Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai

Chiang Mai is the largest and most culturally significant city in northern Thailand, set by the foothills of the Himalaya, 700 km north of Bangkok. In recent years, Chiang Mai has become an increasingly modern city. It is the fifth largest city of Thailand and has also recently positioned itself to become a Creative City. It is the only tourist destination in Thailand to have made it in to the 2012 list of "25 Best Destinations in the World" of the popular travel website TripAdvisor. It has over 300 traditional Buddhist temples and is also known for the skill of the local craftsmen using local resources, particularly in wood carving and silver smithing.

Chiang Rai situated 200 kilometer northeast of Chiang Mai. It is the main commercial centre serving the Golden Triangle border region of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. Famous for its hot springs, waterfalls, Thai temples and caves makes it another perfect get away from the hustle bustle of the city life. Both cities are accessible by road about 12 hours from Bangkok and one hour air flights from Bangkok.

 

Rayong

Located approximately 220 kilometers from Bangkok, Rayong is another delightful seaside province on Thailand's eastern Gulf coast. Most of Rayong Province is marked by mountains interspersed by flat plains and large tracts of fruit plantations and forests. However, the province is most well known for its pristine beaches stretching along its 100-kilometer coastline and its scenic waterfalls set amidst exotic surroundings. With some beautiful resorts it is a great destination only 2.5 hours away from Bangkok.

The sky rail links, high rise office buildings, and the new airport has made Bangkok a business hub but still maintains its traditional touch with its beautiful temples and monuments. With a vast array of hotels, restaurants, night clubs, shopping it has become the most sought after destination of the world.
